I really could not ask for anything more for Christmas than I already have. Autumn and I welcomed Cooper Knox Jeter to our family in the early hours of December 5th. He was not due until tomorrow but thought it would be a good idea to be born on the first Saturday in December. Reason? He knows that his birthday celebration will now forever coincide with the Volunteers annual trip to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game. Smart kid, what can I say? We were truly blessed with a very healthy baby and Autumn is doing great as well.
I have also opened a private law practice in the last month and am in the process of getting it off the ground. I will be handling all types of cases including: personal injury, workers' compensation, family law and criminal law. My office is located in Downtown Nashville and I have a great view of the Cumberland River and Hooters restaurant. What else could a young attorney ask for? I am hopeful that my practice will allow me the opportunity to earn a good living and give me the flexibility to spend some valuable time with Autumn and Cooper.
On the football front, the Tennessee Vols finished the season strong with wins over Vandy and Kentucky and secured a spot in the Chik-fil-a Bowl against Virginia Tech. All in all, the season was a very good one and I look for great things out of the program over the next few years. A few of my die hard friends and I have decided to start a new website, www.tennesseewildboyz.com. We are in the planning phase for this project but we want it to be a site for all of us to be able to chat, post pictures and keep up with all things Vols. I will keep everyone updated on the site and I look forward to watching this little project grow into who knows what.
I hope all of you have a blessed holiday season and a great 2010. It will definitely be an exciting year for the Jeters but we can't wait to watch Cooper grow and I am pumped about being a dad. Let the adventure begin! Go Vols!
